Information We Collect

We collect personal information in several ways: information you provide, information collected automatically, information generated when you use the Services, information processed by third-party providers, and information obtained from public or third-party sources where permitted.

Information You Provide to Us

Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:

  • name;
  • email address;
  • username and password;
  • phone number, if provided;
  • approximate location or location preferences;
  • account settings and communication preferences;
  • subscription status and billing-related information;
  • customer support messages and feedback;
  • survey responses, waitlist information, or event registration information;
  • any other information you choose to submit.

Career and Professional Information

Because EdAIX is a career growth platform, you may choose to provide professional and career-related information, including:

  • resumes and cover letters;
  • education history, school information, coursework, transcripts, certifications, and academic projects;
  • employment history, internships, volunteer experience, freelance experience, and professional achievements;
  • skills, tools, languages, portfolios, publications, links, and personal websites;
  • job preferences, target roles, target companies, compensation expectations, location preferences, and work authorization information;
  • interview preparation notes, career goals, application materials, offer-related notes, and negotiation preparation;
  • recommendations, references, or other career documents you choose to upload.

Please do not upload sensitive information unless it is necessary for the feature you are using.

Uploaded Files and User Content

You may upload files or submit text, prompts, notes, documents, images, or other materials. These materials may contain personal information. We process uploaded content to provide the Services, generate AI-assisted output, personalize your experience, improve product functionality, and maintain security.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to upload any content you submit.

AI Interaction Data

When you use AI-powered features, we may process:

  • prompts and instructions you submit;
  • uploaded documents or profile information used as input;
  • AI-generated outputs;
  • edits, selections, ratings, and feedback;
  • usage patterns, feature interactions, and quality signals.

AI Mock Interview Data

If you use AI Mock Interview features, we may collect, process, generate, and store information related to your interview practice, including:

  • interview questions, prompts, role settings, target roles, target companies, and interview preferences;
  • written answers, spoken answers, audio recordings, video recordings, and related media if you enable audio or video features;
  • real-time or saved transcripts, captions, notes, summaries, and interview session history;
  • AI-generated scores, ratings, feedback, coaching suggestions, strengths, weaknesses, improvement areas, and performance analytics;
  • speaking, communication, behavioral, content, and delivery signals derived from your responses, audio, video, transcripts, and interactions;
  • browser, device, microphone, camera, and session information needed to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the feature.

Audio and video features may require microphone or camera access. You can manage those permissions through your browser or device settings. By using audio or video interview features, you authorize us to record, transcribe, process, analyze, and, by default, retain your mock interview practice records so you can review your history and progress, unless you delete them or the product interface states otherwise.

You may be able to delete mock interview practice records through the Services where available. Deletion may remove records from active user-facing systems, but we may retain limited information where necessary for security, legal compliance, backups, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, or legitimate business purposes.

Payment and Subscription Information

Payments may be processed by Stripe or another third-party payment provider. We may receive limited payment-related information, such as:

  • billing email;
  • subscription plan, billing cycle, and renewal status;
  • transaction status;
  • invoice information;
  • payment method type;
  • card brand and last four digits;
  • payment timestamps;
  • refund or dispute status.

We do not intentionally store full payment card numbers when payments are handled by Stripe.

Information Automatically Collected

When you visit or use the Services, we may automatically collect:

  • IP address;
  • browser type and version;
  • device type and operating system;
  • referring and exit pages;
  • pages viewed and features used;
  • dates and times of access;
  • approximate location derived from IP address;
  • device identifiers and advertising identifiers where permitted;
  • crash logs, diagnostics, performance data, and error reports;
  • authentication timestamps, failed login attempts, and anti-abuse signals.

Browser Extension and Uninstall Feedback

Our browser extension stores a randomly generated install identifier on your device. This identifier is created locally, is not derived from your name, email address, or account, and is not shared with third parties or advertising networks.

If you sign in through the extension, we associate that install identifier with your account so we can provide the extension's features and understand which plan an installation belongs to.

When you remove the extension, your browser may open our uninstall feedback page. That page receives the extension version and the install identifier. Filling it in is optional: we store nothing unless you choose to submit the form, and you may close the page without submitting anything.

If you do submit, we store the reasons you select, any comment you write, the extension version, your interface language, and which plan the installation was on at that moment (for example premium, pro, or free). We do not store the install identifier with your response: it is used only, in the moment of submission, to determine the plan, and is then discarded. As a result a submitted response cannot be traced back to your account — we keep the feedback, not who sent it. We use it only to understand why people stop using the extension and to improve the product.

Information from Cookies and Similar Technologies

We may collect information through cookies, pixels, web beacons, SDKs, local storage, and similar technologies. See Cookies and Tracking Technologies and our Cookie Policy for more information.

Information from Third-Party Sources

Where permitted by law, we may receive information from third-party sources, including:

  • referral partners;
  • marketing partners;
  • analytics and advertising providers;
  • social media platforms;
  • public professional profiles or websites;
  • integrations you authorize;
  • data enrichment or business information providers.

We use this information to update records, improve personalization, measure marketing, prevent abuse, and provide relevant Services.

Stripe’s use of personal information is governed by its own privacy notices and terms.

Social Login and Third-Party Account Connections

If we offer social login or third-party sign-in options, such as Google, Apple, LinkedIn, Facebook, or similar providers, we may receive information from that provider, such as your name, email address, profile photo, account identifier, and other information you authorize.

We use this information to create or authenticate your account, provide the Services, and maintain security. We do not control the privacy practices of third-party login providers.

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries that may have data protection laws different from those in your jurisdiction.

Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections, vendor due diligence, or other legally recognized mechanisms.

Where applicable, we will respond to verified requests in accordance with state privacy laws.

Some uses of cookies, pixels, advertising identifiers, and analytics technologies may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” under certain state laws. Where required, we will provide an opt-out method.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
